My hosting company does periodic automatic software updates. Somehow, apparently due to a server upgrade, the versions of Apache and PHP got out of sync. I was away from the system for part of the day and did not know the site was down.

It took the host company a several hours to figure out this issue, but it was finally solved. Most Weaver sites are back up, but the Forum will take a bit longer. Sorry!

Weaver II 1.3.5

Weaver II and Weaver II Pro Version 1.3.5 have been released and are ready for upload.

This has a couple of nice new features. There’s a new option for show posts on the Page with Posts page. You can now select show Title + First Image only (Featured Image is “first” if it has been defined). There also is greatly improved support for Woocommerce – much better control over sidebars on Woocommerce pages.

If you were using Weaver II 1.2.5 or later, be sure you have the latest “Weaver Theme Extras Version” installed and activated. Then use the update Weaver II option on the Weaver II Save/Restore admin tab.

Download Weaver II Pro using your membership login on the Pro Web Site.

Weaver II and Weaver II Pro Version 1.3.4.2 have been released and are ready for upload.

This version has a couple of nice new features, and a couple of bug fixes:

* Fixed auto-hide menu issue for Pro Slider Menu

* Added “Always Show Featured Image on Blog” option – allows you to have an alternate header Featured Image show as the FI on blog pages, but still be a header replacement on single view
* Added “Disable All Shortcodes”- this will allow you to use an upcoming plugin instead of the built-in shortcodes. It will also let you see what Weaver shortcodes you are using to see what might not work for non-Weaver II themes.
* Added show only “nth” post option to [ weaver_show_posts ] – This will allow you to individually show specific recent posts – useful for a post slider, for example, such as the one to be included in an upcoming shortcode plugin from Weaver.
* Fixed mobile menu threshold if 0 issue
* Fixed new page as target for slider menu
* Fixed non-Mansonry multi-column blog layout (posts are back to even horizontal alignment for across columns)

Weaver II 1.3.3 Released

Weaver II Version 1.3.3 and Weaver II Version 1.3.3 have been released.

These versions do not have any significant new features, but have several bug fixes.

As usual, you may download the latest version of Weaver II Pro from your login on pro.weavertheme.com. Use either the Update Weaver II Pro from the Save/Restore tab if you have the Weaver II Extras plugin, or use Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades plugin to update.

The Weaver II free version is available now on this site, and will be available from WordPress.org within a few days.

Announcing Aspen – a lean offshoot of Weaver II

This is to announce a new theme called Aspen. Aspen is based on Weaver II, but is smaller and leaner. It drops many of the more advanced features of Weaver II, and gets down to just the essentials many will find are the perfect match.

Aspen Theme Version Beta 0.1 is now available for download at AspenTheme.com/downloads/.

Anyone familiar with Weaver II will find the interface and options very familiar.

If you have simple needs mostly involving changing the colors and layout, then Aspen may be a good choice. Like Weaver II, it supports mobile devices, but only in the responsive mode. It also does not support any of Weaver II’s shortcodes. It also doesn’t have many of the higher level features critical to advanced designers.
